Financial Professional, Chartered Professional Accountant

Michele earned her Chartered Professional Accountant (legacy Certified General Accountant) designation in 2002 and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Science from the University of Calgary in 2003.  In 2005, Michele established a public accounting practice providing personal and corporate income tax services along with financial consulting relating to agricultural operations, service industry businesses, and trade industry businesses.  In addition, Michele is very involved in providing financial consultation to the public sector including municipal governments and non-profit organizations.

In 2019 Michele completed training as a mediator.  Then in 2022, Michele completed training to become an arbitrator, achieving her Qualified Arbitrator designation in 2024.

Along with her professional business, Michele and her family own and operate an organic grain farm and a commercial cattle operation.  The direct experience derived from her involvement in this operation from both a management perspective and a hands-on perspective assists Michele with understand the needs of her agriculture clients as well as the challenges that those clients face.

The skill of listening to an individual and exploring ways to assist in alleviating any concerns that may exist is very important to Michele and she exercises that skill in every situation that she becomes involved in.  Ensuring that clients are comfortable to disclose information and not feel judged is critical and is a top priority for Michele as she works with her clients, both new and existing.
